INCI: Kaolin
Origin:
This white, very fine clay (also called kaolin, bolus alba or china clay) is mined in France and is a purely mineral, natural earth.
Characteristics:
The white clay is a potassium silicate compound, iron-free (therefore white). It has a high kaolinite content and a typical structure. Kaolin is very fine-grained and has a strong sorption capacity.
Applications:
Kaolin is ideal as a mask base, for cleansing pastes, peelings and as a base for face and body powder. Kaolin is also very suitable for stabilizing emulsions.
