INCI: SODIUM HYDROXIDE
Characteristics:
Sodium hydroxide is a white hygroscopic solid and is one of the strongest bases. It dissolves very well in water with great heat development due to the negative enthalpy of solution to the strongly alkaline sodium hydroxide solution. It reacts with the carbon dioxide in the air to form sodium hydrogen carbonate and is therefore kept in airtight containers. To prevent the sodium hydroxide from binding water from the air, it can be stored together with a desiccant. Pharmaceutical form - pearl form!
CAUTION! Do not process without gloves and safety glasses! Very caustic!Keep dry and out of the reach of children and pets!
Use:
Mainly used in soap making.
