BIOBENE® Osteo-4 Complex was developed by nutrition experts, and includes four high-quality building blocks for the human organism – Coral calcium with important trace elements, Vitamin D3, Vitamin K2 and Folic acid – for your bone´s health.
Coral calcium:
Coral calcium supports the stability and structural strength of our bones and contains many trace elements.
Vitamin D3 promotes the absorption of calcium, essential to building strong, dense bones and only in combination with vitamin D3 calcium can be absorbed well from the intestine. Moreover, the vitamin D3 ensures that calcium is able to be built into bones and teeth.
Folic Acid:
Folic Acid is a water-soluble vitamin and belongs to the vitamin B-group. This vitamin is responsible for many vitally important metabolic processes. Folic Acid also reduces the homo-cysteine level. High homo-cysteine levels increase the risk of osteoporosis.Coral calcium and folic acid are able to support the positive effects of vitamin D in bone metabolism. Hence, the risk of fractures decreases, which is the only relevant clinical parameter.
Vitamin K2:
Vitamins K1 and K2 are essential vital substances for the human organism. In addition to their important role in cell function and the immune system, they are necessary for the regulation of blood clotting and calcium metabolism.
Vitamin K1 (phylloquinone) is absorbed by eating vegetable (green plants). Vitamin K2 (menaquinone) is mainly found in animal foods (meat, offal, eggs, cheese, etc.) and is produced by bacteria that is also found in the human intestine. The mode of action of vitamin K2 ensures that calcium is mainly stored in the bones and not in the arteries!
