Origin:

The Siberian stone pine also called Siberian cedar is up to 40 meters high and is widespread between the Urals and the Pacific Ocean. The Russian name for Cembra is "Kedr", which in turn is translated into German as cedar.

Characteristics and substances:

The cedar nut oil organic is particularly rich in unsaturated fatty acids (about 90%). Especially is the pinolenic acid, a 2-fold unsaturated fatty acid that is not omega-6 but omega-5 fatty acid.
Furthermore, the cedar nuts contain the vitamins B1, B2, niacin and especially vitamin E. Phosphorus, iron and lecithin are also included.

Applications:

Gourmet food oil for fresh, colorful salads, hot dishes and raw food specialties.
