Origin:
The Marula tree (Sclerocarya birrea), also called elephant tree, grows mainly in the warm, frost-free regions of Sub-Equatorial Africa. The stone of the Marula fruit contains an edible seed that is locally considered a delicacy and whose oil can be used for cosmetic purposes. The oil is obtained by cold pressing and subsequent filtration from these seeds from certified organic farming.
Properties and ingredients:
The skin-caring and soothing properties make this oil a valuable ingredient in many cosmetic formulations.
Application:
Marula oil is used as a base oil as well as an active ingredient oil in cosmetics.
