Moringa oleifera seed oil
Origin:
Moringa oil originally from North India. The oil is extracted from the seeds of the moringo tree, also called the miracle tree, by cold pressing.
Characteristics and substances:
The fatty acids of behen oil are composed of oleic acid (65 – 85%), palmitic acid (about 2 – 10%), stearic acid (2 – 8%), benoic acid (3 – 10%) and arachic acid (1 – 5%) and gadoleic acid (0. 5 – 4%). It is particularly rich in vitamin E, alpha-, beta-, delta-tocopherols, omega 3, -6 and -9 fatty acids as well as other antioxidative components.
Applications:
Moringa oil is odourless, but has a slightly nutty taste. Moringa oil is an excellent edible oil for preparing salads, marinades and sauces but also for cooking, baking and roasting.
